Fergie and Andrew have no shame as they damage their daughters lives | Royal | News

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson haven’t been seen much lately, but the fallout from their disastrous friendship with Jeffrey Epstein is still giving the York family migraines. US financier Epstein was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2008 and served prison and probation until the summer of 2010; however, Andrew and Fergie kept in touch with him.

When Epstein sent an email in July 2010 stating that he was a free man, Andrew incredulously suggested they meet in Paris and “respect your new life ahead of you”. Meanwhile, over the years, Fergie humiliated herself at the feet of the convicted pervert, once telling him that Princess Eugenie was on a “weekend of lovemaking” and yelling at him, “Marry me!” he begged.

In February, Andrew was arrested in Sandringham, Norfolk, on suspicion of misconduct in a public office while working as a trade ambassador. Like Fergie, he vehemently denies any wrongdoing.

But the shockwaves from the Epstein Files revelations are causing more than just ripples for their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

And unfortunately this also affects extended families who may not be able to afford to do anything about it.

Eugenie’s current husband Jack Brooksbank, in his 20s, was enjoying birthday parties at some of Mayfair’s trendiest haunts and was reportedly even nicknamed ‘Jack the Bartender’.

But Jack celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday (Sunday) in a much more reserved manner. And it’s not because he’s now married with two children and living in Portugal.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams explained: “Jack is reportedly much less sociable these days, partly as a result of his move to Portugal, but the scandal surrounding Eugenie’s parents Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson has undoubtedly overshadowed their entire lives and sightings are frequently reported in the press.”

Andrew and Fergie’s Epstein Files emails also caused tension in Beatrice’s marriage to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, some royals claim.

Beatrice, 37, and Edo, 42, are said to be considering leaving the UK with their children and going abroad to start a new life in the USA.

Poor Beatrice, who has staunchly stood by her family, publicly seen supporting her father while he still lives at Royal Lodge in Windsor, is reportedly “desperate to keep things together” in the face of adversity.

Beatrice is also said to be considering how well a move away from the UK has worked for Eugenie, 36, after she and Jack set up home in Portugal in 2022.

Last week, Eugenie and Beatrice were spotted having lunch together in London’s Mayfair. A rare public appearance of the duo side by side.

While the world waits for their parents to come forward and say something about their regrets about their enduring friendship with Epstein, Eugenie and Beatrice’s lives feel like they’re on a steady pattern.

Andrew and Fergie seem to be happier keeping their heads down and letting their daughters put on brave faces in public as they try to move on with their lives, rather than face any criticism themselves. This is just cowardice.
