Access Control System Begins at Charlapalli Rail Station

Hyderabad: Charlapalli railway station will implement an access control system at the south terminal building on Platform No. 9 side from Monday to regulate passenger pick-up and drop-off.

Railway officials said the system aims to prevent unauthorized parking and regulate vehicle entry and exit to improve traffic flow on the station front. The measures are expected to facilitate safer pedestrian movement and easier access to cars, taxis, buses and other means of transport.

The plan includes separate short-term pick-up and drop-off lanes and designated long-term parking areas. Digital ticketing and receipt systems will be used to ensure transparency and collect fees only after the free parking period.

Developed by the South Central Railway as a modern bus terminus, the station is aimed to reduce congestion at existing terminals at Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kacheguda and Lingampally and serve the eastern corridor of the city.
