Top US cardiologist sparks Trump health fears – ‘seriously concerned’ | World | News

A leading cardiologist has expressed concerns about Donald Trump’s health. Dr Jonathan Reiner was the heart specialist for former Vice President Dick Cheney, who died in November.

The specialist currently serves as a medical analyst for American broadcaster CNN and closely follows the health of the US President. In a series of comments about X, he offered an alarming view of Trump’s medical health while addressing the US nation on television. Reiner criticized the president’s tone of voice and “manic” pace before focusing on Trump’s physical condition.

“I have serious concerns about the President’s health,” he wrote to Doctor X.

“No one should be happy to see the president like this,” he added. “It doesn’t look good.”

The cardiologist who treated Cheyney’s serious heart disease while he was Vice President did not go into further detail. Previously, Reiner had expressed skepticism about what the Trump White House called “preventive MRI.”

Trump routinely boasts about his good health, but his critics are less convinced.

A report by the New York Times noted a significant drop in the level of activity, prompting him to attack the newspaper.

According to the White House, the US President suffers from a condition known as chronic venous insufficiency.

This causes the ankles to swell. There were also persistent bruises on the president’s hands.

Meanwhile, a former aide to Trump claimed that there was a “cover-up” in the White House regarding the President’s health.

Sarah Matthews, who was deputy White House press secretary during Trump’s first term and resigned following the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, claimed that the White House even lied about Trump’s health when he caught Covid in 2020.
