Rs.1,430 Cr Needed to Rebuild 352 Bridges in AP: Minister

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Road and Building Minister BC Janardhan Redy said that on Tuesday, there was a need for a 1,430 RS for the restructuring of 352 bridges throughout the state.
He addressed the parliament and said that the efforts to restructure these bridges with the 16th Finance Commission funds. “We are working to rebuild these bridges with the funds of the 16th Finance Commission.” He said.
Observing that the concerns of legislative bodies on roads and bridges were fair, Redy claimed that the previous YSRCP government could not develop any new R&B road during its term of office between 2019 and 2024.
Due to the negligence of the previous YSRCP government, the Minister claimed that the bridges and roads were not maintained during their regimes and caused serious discomfort to people.
However, immediately after coming to power, he claimed that the government of the TDP was able to fix the pits of 1,080 Crore.
According to Reddy, the former YSRCP government could not repay NDB loans worth 1,980 RS, which could facilitate the development of roads of 2,500 km long.
In addition to the repair of the pits, the Reddy House reported that single -layer roads have been developed according to the instructions of Prime Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He also noted that a company will be established to develop roads and complete the roads soon.
