Three charged after attempted arson attack at Persian media offices in London

Three men have been charged with attempting to set arson on the office of an Iranian media outlet in London.

Oisin McGuinness, 21, Nathan Dunn, 19, and a 16-year-old boy have been charged with arson with intent to endanger life, following an attempted arson attack on the offices of an Iranian media outlet in north-west London, the Metropolitan Police said.

Officers on patrol were told an “ignited container” was thrown towards the pitch at Wembley at around 8.30pm on Wednesday and landed in a car park where the fire was quickly extinguished.

It is understood that the offices of Volant Media, the parent company of Persian-language news channel Iran International, were targeted.

There were no injuries and no damage was reported.

Scotland Yard said the three men accused were British citizens and would appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court later on Friday.

This is a breaking story, more to come…
