Thieves steal American Staffy ‘Poppy’ from Shoalwater home sparking police hunt

A family pet was taken from a house in the south of Perth by the police with a brazen daylight theft that led to a human being.

“Poppy” female American staff cub was stolen from a house on Gloucester Street on Monday, June 30 at around 12.40 pm.

CCTV images, published by Rockingham as a part of the investigations, show a silver Toyota hatchback coming out of the property.

The two men get out of the car and walk on the road – they return to the vehicle with the puppy before going in and out of a short time.

The police call on everyone who knows the men of the images to contact the crime stopper in 1800 333 000. Reports can be made anonymously.

‘Poppy’ is defined as a black and white color with a maple leaf type mark in the belly/breast area.
