Watch new Fed Governor Stephen Miran speak live on the economy and interest rates

The new Federal Reserve Governor Stephen Miran speaks with the New York Economic Club on Monday to explain his views on economy and monetary policy.

The appearance comes from Miran’s decision to reduce the debt rate of the Federal Open Market Committee on an important night, but a quarterly percent of the decision to reduce the opposition only after a week. Instead, Miran chose a half -point discount.

Miran was confirmed last Tuesday after President Donald Trump nominated for former governor Adriana Kugler to fill the gap created when he resigned unexpectedly at the beginning of August. The term ends on January 31, 2026, and Miran is not expected to be re -appointed for a 14 -year period.

Before he came to the FED, he served as the President of the Council of Economics Consultants, a position he received permission and returned after his post at the Central Bank.
