Margot Robbie, Gracie Abrams and Ayo Edebiri join forces to recreate the iconic viral 2017 Met Gala bathroom mirror selfie

Met Gala bathroom selfies have been a tradition since Kylie Jenner took the iconic photo in 2017.
And this tradition continued on Monday; model Bhavitha Mandava stood in front of the toilet mirror and recreated her earlier photos with a host of star friends.
The 26-year-old Indian model was in the front row of the shoot, which also included Margot Robbie, Awar Odhiang, Ayo Edebiri and BLACKPINK members.
Kylie set tongues wagging in 2017 when she brought together a host of stars including model Luka Sabbat, rapper A$AP Rocky, sister Kendall Jenner, Paris Jackson, half-sister Kim Kardashian, Lily Aldridge and infamous rapper P Diddy.
Met Gala patron and Vogue powerhouse Anna Wintour strictly prohibited social media photos being taken for years; This led to stars retreating to toilets to take a few illegal selfies and videos without worrying about the consequences.

Bhavitha shared the new look with her 570k Instagram followers as she posed up a storm with her A-list friends, making a series of funny faces.
Chanel set tongues wagging on the red carpet after dressing the star in jeans and a blouse that was the complete opposite of the dresses worn by her contemporaries.
Alongside Margot were The Bear’s Ayo, Canadian-South Sudanese model Awar, and BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
Margot was in the middle of the photo as she rested her head on Bhavitha’s shoulder, flashed a big smile and made a peace sign.
The ban on social media at the ceremony meant that the museum’s gender-neutral toilets became a frequent destination for many guests.
Over the years, photos and videos have circulated of celebrities including Ashley Graham, Hailey Bieber, Dakota Johnson and Cara Delevingne enjoying a raucous party in bathrooms.
In 2017, Bella Hadid, Lara Stone, Paris Jackson and Ruby Rose were caught smoking in the bathroom.

In 2023, it was revealed that presenter and Vogue editor Anna had her own bathroom to prevent parties from happening inside.
The event hostess has a private restroom reserved for her sole use, to which she assigns a security guard to monitor the restroom and make sure none of the other attendees can gain access.
“Anna has had her own private bathroom for years; she’s not one for small talk and will no doubt be ambushed by drunken celebrity fans telling her how gorgeous she is,” a Met Gala source said.
