An Idaho mother who claimed her twins died after being vaccinated last year has been charged with murder in the death of her 18-month-old babies.

Andrea Shaw, 23, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, the Payette Police Department announced last week. He was arrested Tuesday in Boise.

Police had previously said the boy and girl were found dead in a shared bed on May 1, 2025.

Police have not publicly disclosed the cause of the children’s deaths, but the indictment filed in Payette accuses Shaw of strangling her twin children, Dallas and Tyson, to death, according to KTVB.

Just days after their children died, Shaw and her husband appeared on a podcast funded by Children’s Health Defense, an anti-vaccine group formerly led by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in which she claimed that the twins fell ill and died shortly after receiving three vaccines.

Shaw’s attorney, Joe Filicetti, said he still believes the children’s deaths are linked to vaccines, although he did not provide evidence to support that claim.

“They were looking at this as the death of the vaccine, and I still believe it is,” he told KTVB.

Filicetti also said Shaw had recently given birth to another premature baby via cesarean section and that her husband was taking care of the child.

Shaw was initially held in the Ada County Jail before being extradited to Payette County. He is being held on $2 million bail.
