Exam Time: Which nation managed Papua New Guinea before its independence 50 years ago?
If you don’t know that the answer is Australia, you’re not alone.
Many teachers to learn Australia say that Australia is the colonial force of PNG until 1974, a historian who calls Australians to pay more attention to their closest neighbors.

Dr A better time to rebuild close ties, Dr Dr Ferns Aap said that when concerns about the increasing impact of the defense agreement in the Indo-Pacific region, it would attract the attention of Australians.

This meant that Australia fell more than Solomons or Vanuatu, according to security decisions in PNG.
Dr Ferns said that the challenges granted in the PNG’s Independence 50 years ago are still there, including regional and tribal differences and corruption.
“This is a place that is still trying to find its way in the world to use natural and human resources in the most effective way.”
“50 years ago optimism may be more tempted today.”
