Telangana: Man Rapes, Murders Mother-in-law
Hyderabad: A man allegedly raped and murdered his mother-in-law in Nagarkurnool district, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place on the night of February 8 in Kalwakurthy Mandal, when the elderly woman was alone at home.
The suspect, who stated that the alcohol-addicted worker in her 40s, the victim’s daughter and the suspect’s wife, raped her mother-in-law in her mid-60s and killed her in her home, filed a complaint with the police.
A police official stated that it is suspected that the elderly woman was beaten by the defendant and caused her death, and further investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death.
Police said the accused was in an inebriated state when he attempted the act. Police added that a case was registered at Kalwakurthy police station based on the complaint and the accused was taken into custody.
