Sales of jerseys since Müller joined the Whitecaps earlier this month have been so brisk, the team is almost out of stock of the home “peak” jerseys.

According to a team source, the team’s official store in Gastown has nearly sold out of men’s authentic shirts — jerseys come blank but most fans usually add a name to the back — with fewer than 50 authentic shirts in stock. (The team store doesn’t sell replica shirts and those are hard to find anywhere at this point.) If fans were hoping to pick up an authentic shirt at B.C. Place on Saturday, when the Caps will host St. Louis FC, again don’t hold your breath: the team will have only a limited selection of shirts available in men’s, women’s or youth sizes.
The team does have a wide selection of women’s and youth replica shirts at the team store, Postmedia understands.

Adidas introduced a new home shirt design this season but doesn’t produce shirts on a regular basis Orders made by teams and other vendors require an eight-month lead time.
The recent demand outstripped the usual supply the team has kept on hand. And in 15 years of MLS play, the Caps have never made a late-season signing quite on the scale of Müller before.
If you do want a shirt, the team source said that about 100 versions of the previous home shirt, released in 2023, have been found and will be put back on sale. That shirt is very similar to the current look, but has two red stripes framing the central navy blue band. The current shirt has light blue stripes instead of the red.
All this said, fans are now able to purchase other Müller-themed apparel, like T-shirts and scarves.
The current navy blue away strip was introduced in 2024 and is due to be replaced by a new design next year. Those shirts are still available.
