Mumbai-Ahmedabad section of India’s bullet train project will open by 2029: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Surat

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, the first bullet train project between India’s face and Bilimora will be opened in 2027 and the section between Mumbai and Ahmedabad will be operational until 2029.
After operational, the bullet train will cover the distance between Mumbai and Ahmedabad in just two hours and seven minutes, stressed that India’s first bullet train project is progressing very well.
Mr. Vaishnaw visited the six -face bullet train station and examined the runway installation and first participation installation.
“The general progress of the first bullet train project is very good.
Mr. Vaishnaw said that the speed potential of the main line is 320 km / h and 80 km / h for the loop line.
Railway Minister said that the most modern technologies are used to ensure the safe and efficient movement of trains.
“This is a very complex movement of trains, so the most modern technologies are used. A few vibration mechanisms have been created here. The train will receive vibrations of benefit cable when moving in 320 kmph.” He said.
Even on the runway, he added that many mechanisms were applied to absorb any vibration.
“There are very special security features on the track, so even if there is a very heavy wind or sudden earthquake, the train is very stable,” he said.
Mr. Vaishnaw said that all the heavy work for the face station has been completed and that the termination and auxiliary program works are moving faster with the part connection.
“Today, the first participation was founded here in the face station in the bullet train project. Participation is the place where the part is united or separated.
Mr. Vaishnaw said that the ambitious bullet train project would encourage growth like Japan when the first lead train of all major cities from Mumbai to Ahmedabad is introduced.
“We hope to start working on new projects very soon. In the manifesto of our party (BJPs), we have promised three more corridors in the north, one in the east and the other in the south. Mumbai-Ahmedabad will be in the western part of the country. He said.
