Nancy Mace to force censure vote against GOP Rep. Cory Mills

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., plans to vote Wednesday night to censure a fellow Republican in the House.
Two sources told Fox News Digital that Mace will file a resolution of censure against Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., after accusing him of plagiarizing the prowess at X on Tuesday night.
According to Fox News Digital, Mace plans to file the censure as a privileged resolution, meaning House GOP leaders will have two legislative days (until the end of the session on Friday) to hold a chamber-wide vote on the measure.

Its decision is likely to come out during the House of Representatives’ single voting series, scheduled for Wednesday at 8 p.m.
House Democrats are denouncing the Virgin Islands’ non-voting representative in the House, Del., because of Republicans’ ties to Jeffrey Epstein. He had threatened Mills with a retaliatory censorship on Tuesday evening in response to her trying to censor Stacey Plaskett (DV.I.).

Plaskett’s censure failed after three House Republicans voted “no” and another three Republicans voted “present” and all Democrats rejected the measure. Democrats did not appear likely to continue their condemnation of Mills after that.
Mace accused Mills at the time of participating in a “backroom deal” to avoid a censure, adding: “The General who ‘recommended’ him for the Bronze Star is on record as saying he never wrote it, never read it, and never personally signed it.”
Mills’ office told Fox News Digital that a deal was never made and that they expected the censorship to continue Tuesday night. He also voted to censor Plaskett.

The underlying motivation behind Mace’s decision to censure is not yet clear. But Mace sent a letter Wednesday to Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., accusing Mills of “credible accusations that he misrepresented his military service” and “credible accusations of crimes against women.”

Mills has previously denied any wrongdoing in his reports on both allegations.
Fox News Digital has reached out to Mills’ spokesperson for comment on Mace’s plans.
