Nyla May Bradshaw: ‘Deeply loved little girl’ from Doncaster found dead in golf course pond

A young girl who went missing in Doncaster was found dead in a pond on a golf course.

Police said the boy went missing in the Skellow area of ​​Doncaster just before 10am on Monday morning.

He was later found in a pond at Owston Hall golf course after an extensive search that included police drones and planes.

A South Yorkshire Police (SYP) spokesman said: “Sadly, despite the best efforts of our emergency service colleagues, they were pronounced dead.”

“The child’s family has been informed and is being supported by our officers.

“The thoughts of everyone at SYP are with them during this devastating time.”

In a fundraiser on GoFundMe, the girl was named seven-year-old Nyla May Bradshaw.

“Nyla was a much-loved autistic non-verbal girl who brought so much light and love to those around her,” the page said.

“His sudden and devastating loss has left his family in unimaginable shock and heartbreak.”

The page stated that Nyla May was “not in the care of her parents” when she drowned.

“Her family now faces the unimaginable pain of losing their beautiful daughter, many unanswered questions, and the huge responsibility of arranging her funeral.”

Children’s autism charity Little Rainbows Doncaster said in a social media post that Nyla was a “beautiful little girl” who loved Christmas.

“He was autistic and non-verbal, but his presence spoke volumes; he touched more lives than words can express.

“Our entire community is heartbroken and our thoughts are with his family as they face this unimaginable loss.”

She added: “For many of us as parents of autistic children, this is the fear we carry every day, and today it has become a reality for one of us.”
