On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the activist Vinod Patil, who filed a petition in the courts of Maratha quota, called on Kunbi certificates to give the appropriate community members as “completely useless”.

Mr. Patil claimed that Gr, which was published after Maratha quota movement leader Manoj Jarange launched a hunger strike in Mumbai, would not provide a significant benefit to the community.

Chattrapati made to journalists in Sambhinagar, saying, “The truth is that a single certificate will not come out of this Gr. I have filed a legal war for the community and I can say certainly that those who do not have documentary proof of Kunbi will never win anything. So I call this decision as a great disappointment.

The Minister asked Senior BJP Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, who chaired the cabinet sub -committee in Maratha, to take a press conference to explain the purpose of Gr and take responsibility for the promises of the government.

Jararange quickly ended on Tuesday evening to create a committee to publish Kunbi caste certificates to Maratha community members with the historical evidence of the Kunbi heritage, which is a social group classified as the other retrospective class (OBC) in the province.

“The process specified in GR is not specific to the Kunbi certificate, but it is used as routine when it comes to a caste certificate. The whole process is not new, but the government has provided in written format.

“Our demand was for marathhas without any certificate to prove Kunbi lineage due to existing challenging conditions to obtain OBC status.

Minister Vikhe Patil, who was asked about the words of Vinod Patil, said that the government accepted the great demands of the government, including the implementation of Jarangege and Satara journalists, with the withdrawal of police cases against protesters, and those who lost their lives during previous agitations.

The Minister said that the state was calling for two months and that Marathhas and Kunbis have published Final Gr, who recognized them as one, and guaranteed that the interests of the community would not be endangered.

But Patil refused to have mercy. Previously, he claimed that the Prime Minister Eknath Shinde was “playing and not responding with Gulal ve and now Vikhe Patil is doing the same. “I will give this Gr minus zero traces to this Gr out of 100,” he said.

The activist also regretted that Maratha protesters who died during the quota struggle could not personally pay tribute. “Society looks at me with expectations. But be careful: this gr is not just a piece of paper and nothing else,” he said.

Jararange, who fasted a few fasting to print for the reservation for Marathas in training and government affairs, has been the face of the quota movement since the accusation of the police action against the protesters, when the police triggered an agitation wave in Maharashtra.
