Hamas says responded to latest Gaza ceasefire proposal

Hamas said in a statement on Thursday that Israel responded to an offer for a 60 -day ceasefire in Gaza, because for a breakthrough, a pressure to end almost two -year destructive conflict that triggered a humanitarian crisis for civilians.

Mediators have been closing for more than two weeks between Israel and Hamas negotiators in Doha, the capital of Qatar for more than two weeks, but indirect talks have never been able to provide a difficult ceasefire.

International criticism is growing on the state of more than two million Palestinian civilians in Gaza, which more than 100 assistance and rights groups have spread “mass hunger”.

Palestinian militant group Hamas said in a statement on Telegram, “only the response and Palestinian factions to the mediation offer,” he said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’dan statement, confirmed that the response.

“It is currently evaluated,” he added.

According to a Palestinian source familiar with the ongoing negotiations, Hamas’s reaction guaranteed the entrance of the aid, the maps of the Israeli Army to withdraw, and a permanent end to the war.

During the 21 -month fight, both sides stuck to long -standing positions and prevent two short -lived trucs from being transformed into a permanent ceasefire.

The indirect talks in Doha began to try to reach a ceasefire agreement agreement that would also see the release of Israeli hostages on July 6.

49 of the 251 hostages taken during Hamas’s attack on Israel in October 2023 were still kept in Gaza, 27 Israeli army says they were killed.

However, the negotiations were dragged without a breakthrough, and both sides accused the other for refusing to reject key demands.

For Israel, while Hamas’s army and administration capabilities cannot be negotiated, a permanent ceasefire demands a definite guarantee in the withdrawal of Israeli troops and the free aid flow to Gaza.

Washington said that the largest Steve Witkoff will go to Europe this week for negotiations about the cease -fire and aid corridor.

Israel rejected the accusations that Gaza was responsible for the deepening hunger crisis, and instead accused Hamas of preventing the distribution of materials and getting help for them or selling them at inflated prices.

Israel also claimed that Palestinian territory allowed help, but international agencies could not get for distribution.

Israeli Defense Ministry of Defense, who controls civilian affairs on Palestinian territory, said on Thursday that about 70 food trucks were evacuated during the previous day aid passes.

“More than 150 UN and the international organization gathered by Gazan, but more than 800 people are still waiting to take,” he said.

The aid agencies said that the permits from Israel are still limited and that coordination was a major challenge in an active war zone to carry trucks to where they need safely.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza, ruled by Hamas, said that trucks carrying drugs and medical equipment in coordination with the UN Child Agency UNICEF were planned to enter hospitals on Thursday.
