Bangladeshi Extremists Threaten To Blow Up ZEE News; Threat Linked To Cricketer Mustafizur Rahman’s IPL Row | India News

A case has emerged involving death threats given to senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former MLA Sangeet Som. Som claimed that he received threatening calls and messages from a Bangladeshi number, warning not only that he would be harmed but also that he would blow up ZEE News. Speaking to ZEE News, Sangeet Som said that she is not afraid of such threats.
According to Som, the threat call came after a Bangladeshi player objected to his inclusion in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and openly expressed his views on the issue. He said the caller warned that both he and ZEE News would face serious consequences. After the call, threatening messages were sent to his mobile phone.
Sangeet Som informed the police about the incident and filed a formal complaint. He said he had full faith in the law and called on security agencies to take strict action. Police took the matter seriously and launched an investigation to trace the source of the calls and messages.
