Wimbledon 2025 qualifying: British world number 719 Oliver Tarvet reaches main draw

The British from St Albans competes at the US College circuit and stayed for a year in his work at the University of San Diego.

Most university sports in the United States are absolutely amateur, so Tarvet cannot demand the majority of the £ 66,000 reward money, as Wimbledon reached its first round.

“There is a lot of emotions, but the main one is just happiness,” Tavern said.

“It has been my dream since I was little.”

Tevert defeated Terence Atmane, the first 250 players from France and Canadian Alexis Galanau in the first two rounds.

Early on Thursday, the British World number 550 Hamish Stewart 6-3 4-6 6-3 6-4 fell.

Emily Appleton lost 6-2 2-6 6-0 from Slovenia to Veronica Erjavec.
