Incredible moment farmer sprays manure over travellers on his land | World | News

A French farmer became viral after taking extreme measures due to a group of travelers invading his territory in the Houtes-Vosges region. Images circulating on social media show that dramatic moment tractors surround an area, directly in caravans, vehicles and even slums that seem to be a bad -smelling liquid fertilizer in themselves.

At least one individual was seen to stick to the edge of a moving tractor, eventually shook his fist angrily before falling into the mud soaked floor. The incident on July 8 follows the increasing disappointment of illegal camps and perceived police intervention among farmers in Europe.

In this case, local reports claim that the farmer moved after a large group of travelers moved to the property without permission, after the law enforcement officers were “ignored”.

Approximately one dozen white caravans, several vehicles and even a red ferrari was parked along the edges of the private land until the conditions of the fertilizer made it unbearable.

“We didn’t have any other options,” he said. “We asked the authorities for help and nothing happens. So we took action ourselves.”

The sprayed fluid is believed to be a slurry, usually used to fertilize agricultural areas, but with unbearable smell of malicious water and pig fertilizer mixture. Although tactical, unusual, it has not been heard among landowners engaged in unwanted visitors.

Online reaction became an overwhelming majority, many of them praise the farmers for standing in place. One user describes the video as the “clip that makes you feel good”, and the other writes: “You say natural deterrence. Respect!”

The event comes with a wider increase not only in rural agricultural lands but also in private houses in cases of squatting throughout Europe. Only this week, a British woman in Spain announced that she had to sell € 450,000 (£ 392,000) near Benidorm after refusing to leave and quit paying rent.

The property was finally recovered in a garbage situation full of drug use.

As their frustrations increase, some landowners are increasingly turning to harder and extremely visible methods. For a French farmer, this meant revealing all the power of the slurry tank.
