Indian bodybuilder Varinder Singh Ghuman dies at 42

Famous Indian bodybuilder Varinder Singh Ghuman died at the age of 42 earlier this week after reportedly suffering a heart attack during surgery.

indian newspaper Tribune He said Ghuman had torn a muscle in his chest, which led to his admission to Fortis Hospital in Amritsar.

The bodybuilder was named Mr India in 2009 and took second place in Mr Asia the same year. Arnold Schwarzenegger hired him to promote health products in Asia and he became the first Indian to get the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) professional card.

Ghuman has starred in four films, including “Tiger 3”, which brought in ₹466 crore or roughly $52 million at the box office. He also competed in the Arnold Classic.
