The joint investigation by both states seems significant given that a number of World Cup matches, including the final on July 19, will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Sky-high ticket prices for the World Cup appear to be a bipartisan issue, as the investigation comes after President Donald Trump made disparaging comments earlier this month about high prices routinely said to be over $1,000.
