Andhra Pradesh outpaces national average with 10.5% GSDP growth in Q1 2025-26

Andhra Pradesh achieved a strong economic growth in the first quarter of 2025-26, exceeded the national average and strengthened its position as one of the fastest growing states in India.
Presentation of the Gross State Local Product (GSDP) review report at 4th On Monday, September 15, 2025, the Collector Conference reported that the Planning department increased by 10.5% in the quarter (Q) 1 compared to the national average of the GSDP. The gross added value (GVA) was 10.76% and a sharp increase in 9.4% in the same quarter of the previous year.

Agricultural and allied sectors, which are worth 81,496 Crore, grew by 9.6% against the national average 3.2%. While animal husbandry rose to 6.65%, fisheries and aquaculture cultivation increased by 14.5%.
The industrial sector, which contributed 92,843 CRORE, expanded to 11.9% (India: 6.8%). The mining and quarry led to a 43.5% growth record directed by higher mineral production, while the production sector increased by 10.7% in a quarter of 1,57,321 CRORE value of approximately 10%.
GDDP monitoring at the introduced regional level
For the first time, the Gross Region Domestic Product (GDDP) forecasts at the regional level were compiled. Andhra Pradesh achieved 19.2% of the annual GDDP target in the first quarter. Srikakulam, Prakasam, Eluru, NTR and Tirupatial regions performed strongly and exceeded 20% of their annual targets.
Growth Vision
The state aims to reinforce Andhra Pradesh traffic to achieve the GRSDP target of LA 18.65 Lakh Crore for the 2025-26 fiscal year, which is compatible with Swarna andhra Vision 2047, aligned with interventions focused on agriculture, industry and services.
Strengthening accountability through KPIs
In addition to economic progress, the State issued a performance monitoring framework with 512 Basic Performance Indicators (KPI) in 28 departments.
According to the Planning Department officials, among the best performances, housing (100, a+), secondary education (97, a+), tribal welfare (97, a+); Medium -range artists: Health (83, A), income (82, a), Panchayat Raj (81, a); Improvement Areas: Agricultural Marketing (27, C), BC Welfare (25, c).
At the regional level, he scored goals in all regions (58-64) in the B (58-64), led by Western Godavari and Nandyal 64. Among the mandates, Anantapur Urban (82, a) ranked the highest, while the Pedabayalu in the ASR region (49, c) was at the lower end of the Pedabayalu.
In the future, the government plans to expand the KPI framework to more than 600 indicators by real -time warnings, inter -departments, and Prime Minister N. Chandrabababu Naidu, to more than 600 indicators, and strengthen transparency and accountability within the scope of Swarna andhra Vision 2047.
