Cut-price train travel for families planned in armed forces reforms
Families of military veterans can soon benefit from their own cut -priced train fees, because ministers consider expanding the popular veterans railway card to provide travel discounts.
In accordance with the existing rules, the railway card offers one -third of most train tickets, but the wives of the veterans can access privileges when traveling with the card holder, not independently.
The proposed change will allow family members to use the benefits on their own.
