US man dies while discarding body of girlfriend he fatally strangled, officials say | Alabama

An Alabama man recently died of a heart attack while trying to dispose of his girlfriend’s body after fatally strangling her, according to authorities.
At the center of the unusually gruesome case were 44-year-old Daniel Robbins and 47-year-old Jessica Folds.
Chambers County sheriff’s deputies reportedly found Robbins and Folds dead side by side in a wooded area near an abandoned vehicle in the town of Lanett on the morning of June 10.
Chambers sheriff’s office said in a statement: expression He said authorities sent the bodies to the Alabama medical examiner’s department for autopsy.
Investigators reportedly found that Robbins, who was later identified as being from Georgia, and Folds, who was said to be from Lanett, were in a relationship before her death. According to investigators, he allegedly killed her while trying to hide her body before she died.

“Their bodies were together there.”

The truck near the bodies of Robbins and Folds was still running and the driver’s door was open when officers arrived to find them, Segrest said.

Local news outlets reported that Folds was the mother of three adult sons. An obituary stated that he “touched the lives of many with his heart of gold, deep love for everyone, and smile that lit up the world.”
