Russia in cynical strikes ahead of Trump talks: Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy accused Russia of release of “sarcastic” attacks, which was designed to weaken Ukrainian civilians to weaken their meetings with US President Donald Trump in Washington.
Authorities in Ukraine said the drone attack on a housing complex in Northern Kharkiv had killed at least seven people, including a 1 -year -old girl.
The strikes also killed three people and hit the Southeast city Zaporizhzhia.
“This was a demonstrator and cynical Russian strike,” Zelenskiy wrote.
“The Russian war machine continues to destroy lives despite everything. Putin will make demonstrators to protect the pressure on Ukraine and Europe and to humiliate diplomatic efforts.”
After releasing the red carpet for Russian President Vladimir Putin at a summit in Alaska on Friday, Trump leaned against Ukraine to accept a peace agreement to end Europe’s most deadly war in 80 years.
According to analysts, war killed or wounded more than one million people from both sides, including thousands of Ukrainian civilians.
Kyiv and his allies are concerned that Trump may force a more appropriate agreement for Moscow.

European leaders are flying to Washington to show solidarity with Ukraine and put pressure on strong security guarantees in any post -war settlement.
Trump’s team stressed that on Sunday, both sides should be concessions.
However, Trump put forward the burden on Zelenskiy to end his war in February 2022 with full -scale invasion.
Before the meeting, he said that Ukraine hopes to take back the Crimea in a social media mission, to annex on Russia in 2014 or to participate in the NATO military alliance.
Zelenskiy said, “If he wants, he can end the war with Russia or continue to fight.”
The White House said Trump would meet with all European leaders in the Eastern room at 13:15 (Tuesday, 03:15 Tuesday) at the Oval Office.
The President of the Ukraine, who wanted to avoid the recurrence of the heated oval office meeting with Trump in February, said that he was grateful to the President for an invitation after he arrived in Washington late on Sunday.
Ukraine and its allies took their hearts from some developments, including Trump’s desire to provide post -settlement security guarantees for Ukraine.
A German government spokesman said on Monday that European leaders would ask for more details during talks in Washington.
Zelenskiy has already rejected the draft of Putin’s proposals from the Alaska meeting, including the abandonment of the rest of the Eastern Donetsk region, which Ukraine is currently checked.
Zelenskiy is also looking for a ceasefire to have deeper peace talks.
Trump previously supported it, but reversed with Putin after the summit, and said that Russia supported Russia’s approach to negotiating a comprehensive agreement while fighting Rumbles.
Russia launched missiles and drones in overnight attacks with strikes on Kharkiv.
“In an ordinary apartment block, many families, many families lived here, young children, children’s playground, housing compound, there is nothing office or nothing else, we lived peacefully in our homes here.” He said.
