West Bengal dominates day three of All India Postal TT tournament

West Bengal players Sayani and Sangeetha defeated Andhra Pradesh’s Sailu Noor Basha and Sri Laxmi in the women’s doubles final of the 40th All India Postal Table Tennis tournament organized by the Ministry of Posts at S3 Sports Arena in MVP Colony.
Mixed doubles and women’s doubles competitions were held on Thursday, the third day of the tournament. In the men’s doubles final, West Bengal’s Akashnath and Sourav defeated Telagana’s Umesh and Pavan in the final. In the final of the Master category, J Raj Kumar from Tamil Nadu defeated G. Ramesh Kumar from Telangana in the final.
In the men’s singles quarter-finals, West Bengal’s Akashnath defeated Gujarat’s Bhumin (4-0), in the second quarter-final, West Bengal’s Kaushik Pukhan defeated Tamil Nadu’s J. Raj Kumar, in the third quarter-final, Assam’s Elsayeed Hussain defeated Sanil Sikri (Punjab) and Telangana’s Pawan Kumar defeated Rajasthan’s Chandesh Mehta in the fourth quarter-final.
In the women’s singles quarter-final, Andhra Pradesh’s Sailu Noor Basha defeated Telangana’s Anuparuth in the first quarter-final, Tamil Nadu’s Abhinav Ramesh defeated West Bengal’s Sangeetha in the second quarter-final, West Bengal’s Poulami Das defeated Punjab’s Ranji in the third quarter-final and West Bengal’s Sayani Bose defeated Sonal Joshi in the fourth quarter-final.
