500 teenagers gatecrash party in south Sydney, three arrested
Police action after nearly 500 youths stormed a 16-year-old girl’s birthday party in Sydney’s south resulted in three arrests and the deployment of a helicopter to disperse the crowd.
Emergency services were called to a house on Bounty Avenue in Kirrawee at around 7.15pm on Friday and local police initially attempted to break up the gathering.
Reinforcements were quickly called in, with public order and riot squads, the operational support group and police helicopter PolAir working for more than an hour to manage the out-of-control group.
Police arrested three 16-year-old boys and then released them without charge pending further investigation.
One of the boys allegedly threw a full can of alcohol at a police officer who sprayed him with OC spray before arresting him.

“He was taken to Sutherland Police Station and later released into the care of a responsible adult. The matter is expected to be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act. “No injuries were reported by either the child or the officer.
CCTV footage obtained by Nine News It shows the crowd of teenagers surrounding the suburban home before the situation escalates.
In the footage, the police can be seen pushing the crowd while the audience is shouting, and a police officer is seen attacking the entertainment.
