Telangana Govt Knows How To Run A Circus: KTR

Hyderabad: Bharath Rashtra Samithi Working President KT Rama Rao on Thursday criticized the Telangana government over the RTC bus fare hike, stating that they do not know how to run the administration but they know how to “run a circus”. Talking to the media, KTR claimed that BRS leaders were arrested across the state.
“This government does not know how to run the government. It only knows how to run a circus. They put me under house arrest in the morning and then let me go. Now they have deployed police everywhere and are arresting our leaders. I do not understand what they are trying to do. We express our condolences to our police brothers who are suffering due to the stupid decisions of the government,” KTR said.
The BRS leader accused the government of arresting people who were protesting democratically and stressed that it was the government’s duty rather than placing the blame for the loss of the RTC on the common people.
“People protesting democratically by sitting on buses are being arrested… If free bus services have caused losses to the exchequer, it is the government’s obligation to bear this loss and not impose it on ordinary people,” he said. BRS leaders would hold a ‘Chalo Bus Bhavan’ protest against the recent RTC bus fare hike. Moreover, KT Rama Rao demanded withdrawal of the wage hike citing its impact. about the lives of ordinary people and the middle class. “We are protesting the excessive increase in bus ticket prices, which will affect the common man and middle class of Telangana. We demand the government to answer our questions. When you were aware that RTC would incur losses due to free bus service, why did you do this? When RTC is now facing losses due to your decisions, why are the public paying the price?… We request the RTC MD to take back this decision and inform the government.” KTR said.
Meanwhile, in Mehadipatnam, BRS leader Harish Rao traveled in a bus and interacted with passengers during the RTC bus protest. Earlier, Telangana Police had placed BRS party’s Working President KT Rama Rao Bharat Rashtra Samithi under house arrest at his residence on Thursday, amid heavy police deployment.
