Day 4 of Raja Saab box office collection

Prabhas-starrer fantasy horror comedy The Raja Saab released in theaters on Friday, January 9, and had a spectacular opening at the box office, grossing Rs 100.60 crore worldwide and netting Rs 62.90 crore in India (including Rs 9.15 crore from paid screenings on Thursday). However, the Maruthi directorial has been witnessing a massive decline in its collections since then. The film earned only 26 billion rupees and 19.10 billion rupees on its second and third day, taking its three-day opening weekend total to 108 billion rupees net in India.

And now Raja Saab has suffered a massive decline at the box office on its first Monday. According to entertainment streaming portal Sacnilk’s initial estimates, the Prabhas-starrer dropped to single digits on the fourth day of its release, earning only Rs 5.40 crore. The four-day net domestic total currently stands at 113.40 billion rupees. The Maruthi film, which was released all over India in its original Telugu language and has dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, seems to have a hard time recovering at the box office.

The fantasy horror comedy received negative reviews from the audience and critics, leading to a massive decline in its collections. Raja Saab was heavily criticized for its inconsistent screenplay, illogical narrative, embarrassing dialogues and lackluster direction. People pointed out that the film failed to blend humor and horror effectively, with many even describing the Prabhas-led project as one of the biggest cinematic disappointments of recent times.

Along with Prabhas, The Raja Saab also stars Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar and Zarina Wahab in important roles. It is bankrolled by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad and Ishan Saksena under the banners People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. The horror comedy was originally scheduled to be released on April 10 and December 5 last year, but was postponed due to multiple delays in post-production and VFX work.
