Princess Charlotte plays cricket in 11th birthday video

London: Britain’s Princess Charlotte shows off her impressive bowling technique in a video released to mark her 11th birthday.
A short clip of the princess, released on Saturday (London time), shows her playing cricket, sitting on a boat with the family’s puppies Orla and Otto, and using stones and shells to write messages on the beach.
It was accompanied by the following message: “Thank you for the lovely birthday messages you sent to 11-year-old Princess Charlotte today!”
Previously, a portrait of the young princess was published in a field of daisies, wearing jeans and a striped sweater. One message read: “Wishing Charlotte a very happy 11th birthday!” along with a cake emoji.
Both the photo and video were taken by Matt Porteous, one of the Prince and Princess of Wales’s favorite photographers, during the family’s Easter holiday in Cornwall.
Last year, Prince William and Princess Catherine began posting images of their children’s specific birthdays and annual portraits.
Saturday’s portrait is the third family holiday portrait to be released in 10 days, following those celebrating Prince Louis’ eighth birthday on April 23 and the prince and princess’s 15th wedding anniversary on April 29.
Princess Charlotte, third in line to the throne, attends the private co-educational Lambrook School near Ascot in Berkshire with her brothers Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis.
The princess loves dancing, especially ballet and tap, doing crafts and swimming.

Charlotte was variously described by those at court as “a strong character, wise almost beyond her years” and the “leader of the pack” who was often seen keeping her siblings in check.
She was last seen in public on Easter Sunday, when the royal family walked to church at Windsor Castle.
He waved politely to the crowd of onlookers and displayed a natural confidence and ease in public, displaying a natural self-confidence—not for the first time.
Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born at 8.34am on 2 May 2015 in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, weighing 8lb 3oz.
She owes her middle names to her late great-grandmother Elizabeth II and her late grandmother Diana, and is said by royal fans to have looked like both of them when she was young.
The princess was photographed looking windswept and red-cheeked in a camouflage jacket and rucksack during a family walk in Cumbria on her birthday last year.
Previous birthday photos have shown her at home wearing more formal dresses, skirts and sweaters, always with shine and neatly coiffed hair.
The latest image to be released by Kensington Palace comes days after photos and video footage of Prince Louis digging in the sand, playing cricket and jumping from a boat into the sea were shared with the public.
The family portrait, published on Wednesday to mark William and Catherine’s wedding anniversary, showed the couple and their three children lying on the grass in the sun with their legs and arms intertwined.
On Friday, a photo taken by Catherine of the family’s new cocker spaniel, Otto, was posted to celebrate his first birthday.
