Notting Hill Carnival begins with burst of colour for J’ouvert celebrations

Notting Hill Carnival’s children’s parade began on Sunday morning and filled the streets of Western London in color and sound.
When the largest street party in Europe started, musicians and dancers in bright costumes held a parade on the streets.
When the Revelers met for J’ouvert at 06:00 before the children’s parade, the streets began with a color burst while the streets were shaken with bright paint and dust.
J’UOUVERT, which means “Daybreak” or “Opening of the Day” at the French Creole, points to the Beginning of Carnival celebrations on the Bank Holiday Weekend.
More than one million people are expected to join Carnival at the weekend.
Sunday’s festivals will continue with sound systems and live music stages.
Carnival organizers say the sound system tradition of the event is based on Jamaica culture and Reggae music.
Species such as rare groove, house and samba are expected to be played throughout the day.
Live stages will be held in Emslie Horniman’s Pleasance Park and Powis Square in the afternoon.
The event continues on Monday with adult parade ceremony, more live stages and sound systems.
In both days, there will be a silence of 72 seconds at 15:00 to remember the 72 life lost in the Grenfell Tower fire and 72 life that died in Karnaval in recent years. Kelso Cochrane In 1959, the murder became one of the catalysts of the event.
