Germany bans Muslim Interaktiv association, searches properties

In the statement made by the federal interior ministry, it was stated that searches had been carried out in seven properties in Hamburg and 12 properties in Berlin and the state of Hesse since the early hours of the morning, within the scope of preliminary investigations against the Generation Islam and Realitaet Islam associations.
Within the scope of the ban, Muslim Interaktiv, which was founded in 2020 and organizes demonstrations and operates on various social media channels, will be closed and its assets will be confiscated.
The group gained national attention in early 2024 with a demonstration in Hamburg of 1,000 participants calling for the establishment of a caliphate in Germany.
“We will respond with the full force of the law to anyone who aggressively calls for a caliphate on our streets, who unbearably incites hatred against the state of Israel and Jews, and who belittles the rights of women and minorities,” Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt said in a statement.
