Clementine and Tiffany Wilkes: Photos emerge after mother and daughter found dead in Brisbane

As questions remain about missed opportunities for authorities to take action, photos have emerged of an eight-year-old girl found dead next to her mother in a suspected murder suicide.

The bodies of anesthetist Tiffany Wilkes, 54, and her daughter Clementine were found by police during a welfare check at the multimillion-dollar Airbnb in Brisbane’s west on September 29.

Detectives launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the “sudden deaths” and said they would prepare a report for the coroner.

Dr Wilkes was a well-known anesthetist who worked at many hospitals in Brisbane, including Princess Alexandra’s.

In the two weeks following the deaths, following reports that the family had failed to come to the attention of child protection authorities, Dr. Concerns were expressed about the health of Wilkes and Clementine.

Clementine, described as “smart” and “cheerful”, barely attended school in 2024, The Courier Mail reported.

Bond University criminologist Terry Goldsworthy told the imprint on October 3 that red flags should be raised after the boy missed so much school.

“At the very least, the school should have established that there was a reason for the child not to attend school in terms of attendance,” he said.

Dr Wilkies was taken into involuntary custody in 2023 and treated under the Mental Health Act, the ABC reported.

He has been away from work for the past 18 months due to his mental health, the Courier Mail reported.

It is understood police were alerted after a colleague received an email from Dr Wilkies.

CCTV obtained by 7 NEWS shows Dr. the day before the suspected murder suicide. He caught Wilkes taking out the trash cans.

The mother and daughter were staying in a four-bedroom house in Kenmore Hills worth about $1,000 a night, with a five-day minimum stay.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information or relevant footage to come forward.

Last week, Queensland Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation and would prepare a report for the coroner.
