Donald Trump made an important update on the war in Iran in his statement to the press after his phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Russian state agency TASS, the two leaders had a meeting on Monday evening where they discussed the operation in Iran and the war in Ukraine. According to the news source, the duo also touched upon the Venezuela issue in their hour-long conversation.
Following the call, Trump spoke to a US news outlet and suggested that Operation Epic Rage, the codename for attacks on Iranian targets by Israel and Washington, could soon end. He said: “I think the war is largely completed.”

“Their missiles are dispersed. Their drones are being blown up everywhere, including in drone manufacturing.”
Claiming that the operation has been successful so far, the official added that Iran has “nothing left” militarily after the US military said it hit more than 3,000 targets in a week.
On February 28, the first day of the strikes, attacks resulted in the death of Iran’s then-leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
His son Mujtaba Khamenei was officially appointed as the Middle Eastern country’s new Supreme Leader on Sunday.
Trump, who had previously said that he wanted to have a say in who the new leader of the country would be, said that he “did not have a message” for Ayatollah Khamenei.
