Donald Trump made an important update on the war in Iran in his statement to the press after his phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Russian state agency TASS, the two leaders had a meeting on Monday evening where they discussed the operation in Iran and the war in Ukraine. According to the news source, the duo also touched upon the Venezuela issue in their hour-long conversation.

Following the call, Trump spoke to a US news outlet and suggested that Operation Epic Rage, the codename for attacks on Iranian targets by Israel and Washington, could soon end. He said: “I think the war is largely completed.”
