An 88-year-old Seattle woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after a man violently attacked her, robbed her, bit her finger and stole her jewelry, police said.

The attack took place on October 13 in the 9900 block of 64th Avenue South in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood. Earlier this week, police released surveillance photos of the suspect, identified as a man in his 30s, according to a news release from the Seattle Police Department.

The woman was clearing out household items on her back porch when the suspect approached and asked for her belongings.

When she refused, police said the man “brutally attacked” her, forced her into his garage and continued the attack there.

“The man stole the victim’s jewelry and bit her finger during the incident,” the statement states. “Doctors then took him to hospital with serious head injuries.”

Seattle police, along with officers from Burien, Tukwila and the King County Sheriff’s Office, searched the area for the suspect, but he remains at large, according to the news release.

The Seattle Police Department did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
