This comes after Qantas announced earlier this month that it would cut some domestic routes.

Qantas has estimated that its fuel bill could reach $3.3 billion due to the war in the Middle East; That’s up from its previous estimate of $800 million.

The airline giant said it had reduced domestic flight capacity in May and June, with most of the cuts occurring on routes between major capital cities.
