Woman Kills Husband, Tries to Hide Body

Hyderabad: Keshampet inspector B. Narahari alleged that a woman killed her 35-year-old husband on Saturday night due to alcohol addiction and extramarital affair and hid his body in a well. The deceased was 35-year-old laborer Kuppu Kumar and the prime suspect was his wife Madhavi. The couple has a 12-year-old son.

Police said the couple fought frequently and Madhavi was subjected to physical abuse while Kumar was drunk. During an argument on Saturday night, Madhavi allegedly hit Kumar on the head with a cement brick, killing him on the spot.

His son woke up from his sleep. While Madhavi reportedly dragged Kumar’s body out of the house, the boy tried to stop her but failed. He threw his body into the pit in front of the house.

On Sunday morning, Kumar’s brother Jangaiah, who was staying nearby, asked Madhavi about Kumar. He said he had been missing since Saturday night. His body was found in the well during the search with the help of the surrounding people. After informing the police and taking him out, locals noticed Kumar bleeding profusely from his nose, ears and head, suspecting foul play.

During interrogation, the 12-year-old boy reportedly told the police that his mother killed Kumar. Local people also suspected that he was behind the murder. A case was registered and Kumar’s body was transferred to the morgue for post-mortem examination. The inspector said, “We have not detained his wife yet because the investigation is ongoing. We will take action soon.”
