Italy arrests Ukrainian suspected of coordinating 2022 sabotage attacks on Nord Stream gas pipelines

The Italian police arrested a Ukrainian man, who was suspected of coordinating the attacks on Nord Stream pipelines.

Nobody, who was seen as a sabotage action by both Russia and the West, was not responsible for the explosions that seriously damage the pipelines carrying gas from Russia to Europe in September 2022 and pointed to a major rise in the Ukrainian conflict and increased an energy supply crisis on the continent.

In a statement made by the prosecutor’s office, only Serhii K.

He and his offensive partners set out from Rostock on the northeastern coast of Germany to carry out the attack.

He added that the ship was rented from a German company with the help of fake identity documents through intermediaries.

The authorities acted on a European arrest warrant for the suspect who faced an explosion, a constitutional sabotage and the destruction of buildings.

German prosecutors said in a statement that Carabinii officers were arrested in the state of Rimini on the Adriatic coast of Italy.

The Italian police had no interpretation.

The explosions ruined three of the four Nord Stream Stream pipeline, which became a controversial symbol of German German reliance after Ukrainian invasion of Ukraine, and triggered the wild speculation on possible criminals.

The pipeline, which once symbolized Europe’s trust in Russia for energy, was sabotaged in September 2022.

The explosions saw that three of the four pipelines were damaged. It took 15 years to build the critical energy infrastructure.

Earlier this year, Putin and Trump reportedly held secret talks to potentially start the gas pipeline.

The movement would have previously reversed Trump, which previously led to an efforts to close Nord Stream 2 and push Germany to push the American Siquified natural gas (LNG).

If it is successful, the agreement may see that US investors have purchased a share of the pipeline in the operating company, and Russian gas flows may allow them to profit if they continue to Germany and other Central European countries – Western sanctions should be relieved after the ceasefire in Ukraine.

It would also give Washington a great basis for Berlin’s energy market.

It is said that secret discussions have taken place in Switzerland, which was intermediary by a former East German intelligence officer and Putin confidi Matthias Warnig for a long time.

Warnig, who managed Nord Stream 2 before bankruptcy in 2023, was reported to play a key role in the collection of potential supporters.

Nord Stream 2 Gas Pipelines were the largest symbol of Europe's energy addiction to Moscow until three out of the four wires were bombed in 2022.

On the US side, Trump’s former German Ambassador to Germany and the existing ambassador Richard Grerell for the ‘special missions’ are allegedly led by negotiations.

Stephen Lynch, a rich Trump -related businessman, was also called a potential investor in the project.

However, both Grerell and Warnig rejected participation, while Lynch has not yet commented on the allegations.

Last year, a Ukrainian military officer allegedly participated in the 2022 operation, Wall Street Journal’a Sabotage – a single yacht, a crew, primitive diving equipment and a series of light explosives, he said.

The other sources, who participated and are familiar with the plan, said that WSJ was initially approved by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but that the former armed forces were the Commander -in -Chief Valery Zaluzhny to attack the team when Zelensky had cold legs.

At that time, the Ukraine Presidential Office rejected WSJ’s investigation as ‘absolute nonsense’.
