Microsoft working to fix Outlook email issues

Microsoft It said Thursday it was working to fix technical issues that were preventing people from sending and receiving email messages in the Outlook app.
The incident occurred in the middle of business hours in the US, prompting people to address the issue. on social media Schools, government agencies and companies dealt with the outage. The program represents a core part of the Microsoft 365 productivity software suites.
At 2:37 PM ET, the company said in an X post that it was investigating an issue affecting Outlook.
“Users may be receiving a ‘451 4.3.2 temporary server problem’ error message when trying to send or receive emails through Outlook,” Microsoft said in an update to an online control panel.
Additionally, searches made in the control panel to the OneDrive cloud file storage app, Teams communications app, and SharePoint Online collaboration service may be slow or not working at all, the company said. Microsoft also said people may not be able to create chats, meetings, teams and channels, breakout rooms, or live events in Teams.

A follow-up post at 4:14 pm ET said the company was repairing the affected infrastructure and redirecting traffic to other infrastructure to recover.
The service continued to be disrupted for more than seven hours after Microsoft acknowledged the error messages.
“We are seeing continuous improvements in service availability and functionality as a result of our load balancing efforts,” Microsoft said in an X post at 9:46 PM ET. “We actively monitor performance and make targeted adjustments to further improve stability and availability while maintaining recovery actions to ensure a reliable service experience.”
Last July, the Outlook outage lasted more than 21 hours.
