“Meghan and I met a few years ago and we’ve been texting ever since. She reached out and said she’d love to come on the show. There wasn’t any strategy or big orchestration,” he told The Cut.

The designer later added: “I didn’t tell anyone it was coming because I wanted it to remain a surprise. Real surprises are rare in fashion, and this one was lovely.”

Now Meghan has appeared to accept the news, telling Harper’s Bazaar: “I was thrilled for him (Mr Piccioli). I reached out and said, ‘I’m happy to come and support you.’ “We kept it a secret and it was really fun.”

However, fans found Meghan’s confession funny and expressed their opinions on social media.

Elsewhere in the interview, Meghan revealed that she has found a way to balance having fun, working, and being a mother and homemaker.

“I love being able to do both, playing in the sandbox with my kids and playing front row at a show,” she said.

“I think the moment you start making all your personal decisions based on outside judgment, you lose your authenticity.”
