Metro Tunnel was meant to open tomorrow, but services are still months away

Opposition leader Brad Battin said that the Metro Tunnel project is another example that the Allan government faces key infrastructure projects with “cost explosions and important problems”.
“How can a government spend billions of dollars and prepare the plan and exactly when? [Metro Tunnel] Stations will be opened and how often the trains can work? ”He said.
At a press conference at the Beaconsfield Train Station on Saturday, Battin said that opening the metro tunnel without trains at the most busy times would be a “broken promise from Premier Jacinta Allan.
The opposition leader said that contracts should be tightened for infrastructure projects in Victoria because the government slows down the government when the government slows down.

Daniel Bowen, a member of the Public Transport Users Association, said that opening a large railway infrastructure in the stages was not seen.
He said that if the metro tunnel is opened in this way, a clear communication is needed to tell users which trains will pass through the metro tunnel and which ones will work on the current lines.
“People are looking forward to the fact that the metro tunnel is open, but it is important that they do it right,” he said.
“You hate hurrying up and then having great problems with service, reliability or stations after people use them.”
Melbourne Lord Mayor Nick Reece, some things are worth waiting and the Melbourne Metro Tunnel is definitely fit this category, he said. “For Melbourne and Central City, it will be an alternative project for our transportation system,” he said.
