A Take That superfan has been found giving Robbie Williams his phone number in the band’s new Netflix documentary.

The self-titled three-part documentary explores the boy band’s 35-year journey and includes archive footage from when they first rose to fame in the early ’90s.

Among the old clips featured is a 14-year-old girl called Jemma queuing at the HMV store in Chester in the hope of seeing the band.

Take That came to the store to promote their latest album, but because so many fans showed up, some couldn’t get in and had to wait outside.

One of those fans was Jemma Louise Williamson, who was interviewed by a camera crew and gave her home phone number in the hope that Robbie, 51, would call.

He said: ‘I love Robbie because she’s got amazing hips and a great body and she can have my phone number at any time. You can call me whenever you want.’

Sitting down to watch the documentary 34 years later, Jemma was shocked to see her younger self appear on screen.

BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills Breakfast Show tracked him down and he appeared on Tuesday to discuss the hilarious clip.

He said: ‘I was in the Take That documentary that was released on VHS in the ’90s but then I honestly didn’t realize there were clips of me talking. Then low and behold I’m on Netflix!’

Robbie shared a clip of herself watching the documentary on Instagram and then tried calling the number Jemma had given her, but it was out of service.

She explained: ‘It’s unreal that he mentions me on his Instagram. ‘If I had given out the area code and everyone had started searching our house, my father would have gone crazy.’

Jemma added that if she could get Robbie to sing one of her songs one of these days it would be her 1998 hit She’s The One.

Robbie made Official Albums Chart history on Friday, overtaking The Beatles as the artist with the most Number One albums of all time in the UK.

With his new album BRITPOP, the singer has achieved his 16th chart-topping LP, surpassing John, Paul, George and Ringo to have more Number One albums than any other artist in UK chart history.
