Tamil Nadu Assembly election 2026: K. Manivasan to be State’s Home Secretary

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday, April 11, 2026, directed the Chief Secretary of the Tamil Nadu government to appoint senior IAS officer K. Manivasan as Home Minister.

The ECI, in its communication, said that incumbent Dheeraj Kumar will be transferred and will not be appointed to any election-related post until the polls are completed.
