Tamil Nadu government announces Deepavali bonus for PSU employees

In front of Deepavali, on Monday, October 6, 2025, the Tamil Nadu government announced a bonus and old Gratia compensation for over 2.69 Lakh of public sector commitments (PSUs) operated by the state for 2024-25. State Exchequer, 2015, bonus (amendment) law will relax the norms under the payment of 376.01 Crore will cause spending.

Workers in the C and D categories in the PSUs that make profit will receive 20% (8.33% and 11.67% bonus) considering the allocationable surplus of the related PSUs. A official press release, Tangedco, various government transportation companies and Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation working in these categories of appropriate employees will receive 8.33% bonus and 11.67% old Gratia, he said.

Workers in the C and D categories in PSUs will receive a bonus of 8.33% and 1.67% without the allocated surplus. Tamil Nadu Housing Board and Chennai Metropolitan Water supply and workers in these categories in the Sewerage Board would also receive 10% (8.33% bonus and 1.67% ex gratia).

As for the C and D category employees of Tamil Nadu water supply and drainage board, they would receive a 8.33%bonus. Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation’s contract staff will receive former Gratia. Permanent employees are suitable for 8,400 to 16,800 la bonus.
