TCS allegedly forced around 2,500 employees in Pune to resign: NITES

New Delhi, October 1 (PTI) India’s largest IT company TATA Consulting Services claimed that about 2,500 employees in Pune to resign from their jobs.

However, TCS said that only a limited number of employees were affected by our attempt to rearrange skills in our organization.

New Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) President Harpreenet Singh Saluja, Maharashtra Prime Minister Devendra Fadnavis wrote in a letter, demanded a timely intervention to protect the interests of the affected employees.

Saluja, based on the representation of Nites, the Ministry of Labor, the Maharashtra Labor Secretary of the Secretary of this issue to take the necessary measures, he said.

“Unfortunately, despite this directive, the reality of the ground has become even more sad. Only about 2,500 employees in Pune was forced to resign in recent weeks or suddenly removed.” He said.

When TCS contacted, “The misinformation shared here is misinterpreted and deliberately naughty. Only a limited number of employees have been influenced by our attempt to recover the skills in our organization”.

He continued: “The affected, as caused by them under each circumstances, maintenance and severance pay is provided.”

In June, the company announced this year that the global labor force eliminated approximately 2 percent or 12,261 employees and the majority of the affected belonging to medium and senior notes.

Nites said that the affected employees were not only numbers; They are mothers and fathers, bread winners, caregivers and the backbone of thousands of households in Maharashtra.

Nites, “Many of the affected, the company, 10-20-year-old special services that provide special service. Middle-long age, over 40 years of age, with EMIs, school fees, medical expenses and aging parents are obliged to. For them, it is almost impossible to find alternative employment in today’s competitive market.” He said.

He said that the education of the children of the affected employees is at risk and that the loans may not be paid and that the households may face emotional trauma and financial collapse.

Nites claimed that the terminations of the TCs were carried out with the explicit violation of the 1947 Industrial Disputes Law, as there was no notification to the government on this issue.

The body of IT employees claimed that TCS did not pay any legal repetition compensation to employees and that the personnel were forced to “voluntary resignations” under fear and pressure.

Maharashtra demanded that the prime minister should stop in the “darkest hours” with the affected families and to direct the state’s working department to stop the illegal termination and to stop it.

The employed organization asked Fadnavis to ensure that every affected employee will be granted legal rights in accordance with the 1947 Industrial Disputes Law, stop all other terminations until the required legal process was followed and held the company’s senior management responsible for the respect of law and humanity.
