TCS layoffs: Headcount falls by nearly 20,000 amid restructuring, NITES accuses IT major of downplaying number
TCS Q2 Results: India’s largest IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has recorded a decline of nearly 20,000 in total headcount in the June-September quarter of fiscal 2025-26 as it restructures its workforce amid a push for artificial intelligence (AI).
According to data collected from the official website, the total workforce of TCS decreased by 19,755 to 593,314 as of the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26, as compared to the headcount of 613,069 as of the end of the first quarter of the financial year.
