Teacher banned after asking pupil to take bikini photos on holiday

The teaching of a teacher who touched more than one female student in an inappropriate way and asked for the paintings of a person wearing a bikini was banned.
Kieran Harker, a IT teacher, was found guilty of inappropriate behaviors against eight students during 14 months of employment at Newmarket Academy in Newmarket near Cambridge.

It was forbidden to be taught indefinitely with the right to review the prohibited order within two years.
Three students spoke with evidence against him and anonymized for the report.
A student said: “Kieran Harker became very touching with me. He often touched my back through the hole in the school chair. I would sit in the classroom right behind.
“I would look at the computer, I was doing my job, and he walked behind me and put his hand behind the chair to hit my back. I don’t know why he’s doing it.
He said he wanted him to stop at that time, but he continued to touch him at a later date.
While interacting with Mr. Harker, another student in the 9th year claimed that IT teacher had put his hand on my lower back in Unnessicery. [sic] Situations just like walking with me… “
A third student said that he had “rub my back and thigh” outside of one of the classes of Mr. Harker. Im I felt uncomfortable, ”the student said. “It’s been more than once.”
When he was questioned about the allegations, Mr. Harker said: ım I never touched a student’s thigh or lower back. But when someone was upset about touching them on their backs to keep them on the console, a natural reaction, but I didn’t touch the lower back. ”
He was also found guilty of placing his hand in the upper thigh of at least two students.
Another student, who is just defined as a student, reported more than one inappropriate behavior by Mr. Harker.
In an example, he caught him on his waist; In another, he wrote the words “I Love You” in his planner. Both events made him feel uncomfortable.
He also sent inappropriate e -mails, including asking him to show his bikini photos.

“He told me to have fun to make me feel better and to shoot myself with a bikin.
“When I returned from the holiday, Kieran Harker asked if I took a photo of a bikini. I said no and Kieran Harker said he was looking forward to seeing photos.”
He also stated that Mr. Harker believes that he wanted the pictures he wanted and that he feels “strange” from the request.
He said to the charges: “I never wanted to see his paintings in Bikini, I wanted to see photos of his holiday.”
In a separate E -Post exchange with another student, he wrote: “I saw you in the playground and I thought how beautiful it looked! I had to say immediately.”
This E -Posta was later shared among the students. Mr Harker, who defends himself, claimed that this message aims to help him feel better about the girl’s appearance.
In the report, during a school disciplinary hearing, he said: orum I know that any way of contact is inappropriate with a student and that I regret it and never do it again. ”
