Teacher jailed for 51 years after sex attack on boy, 12, during sleepover | World | News

A teacher’s assistant was sentenced to 51 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child. Anna Marie Crocker, 34, attacked the 12-year-old boy who was having a sleepover with friends, removing his underwear and attacking him in front of other sleeping people.
The mother of four, who worked at Riverview Elementary School in Silver Lake, Wisconsin, also sent sexually explicit messages, videos and images to three other students. He pleaded guilty to seven felonies, including first-degree sexual assault of a child and second-degree sexual assault of a child.
As reported by SunThe 12-year-old boy reported the abuse to the police in 2024. The boy told cops that Crocker woke him up during a sleepover in the basement.
The 34-year-old man sexually assaulted the boy before texting and demanding an apology. Crocker said he needed to apologize “for what happened in the basement,” according to court records from the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office.
The disgraced teaching assistant said at his sentencing: “I am disturbed by the harm and distress, as well as the trauma you have had to endure. I am so sorry that this has caused confusion, pain and anger and that you will have to live with this for the rest of your life.”
Separate court records show Crocker spoke to a 14-year-old boy over Snapchat before sexually assaulting him in a parking lot in August 2024. Crocker was also accused of sending sexual messages to boys aged 13 and 16.
The court heard how Crocker asked the 16-year-old to come to his home for sex just a day before his arrest. Investigators found several videos on his phone that corroborated the young victims’ claims.
District Attorney Xavier Solis said in a statement: “This case represents a profound breach of trust. When an adult connected to our schools exploits our children, the damage is serious and lasting.”
“This sentence sends a clear message to any school employee who preys on our children in Kenosha County that you will be held accountable.”
Crocker was sentenced to 51 and a half years behind bars, with prosecutors saying he could not be released until he turns 85. Additionally, Crocker will remain a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.
