The syllabus for SSC exams is already covered in most institutions. Revision is gaining momentum in schools and at home. Subject teachers guide students on how to approach each paper clearly and confidently. They outline subject-specific preparation strategies to help students prepare for final exams.
In Telugu, teachers advise students to concentrate on comprehension and language components. Telugu teacher K. Lakshmi said that the “Avagahana-Pratispandana” chapter can be covered effectively if students read the poems and prose passages carefully. They determine the answers to the questions from the given text. He suggested simple memory techniques to remember Ramayana Kandas by associating characters with specific episodes, such as linking Vishwamitra to Bala Kanda and Sugriva to Kishkindha Kanda. Trying familiar questions first will help with better time management.
Hindi teacher R. Suresh says the subject has scope to get high marks as a single paper carries 100 marks. The mandatory “Chutti Patra” (letter of permission) carries eight marks. Writing in the correct format can help you get full marks. He advised students to prepare essays on festivals like Diwali and national issues like Swachh Bharat. He emphasized the importance of avoiding spelling mistakes and underlining important points.
English teacher P. Anitha said that grammar and vocabulary are important scoring areas with 20 marks. In the creative writing department, students must learn diary entry, letter writing, and information transfer formats. He recommended practicing the exercises in the textbook thoroughly and ensuring that the answers are written without grammatical errors. Proper punctuation and clarity in sentence construction will improve presentation.
Mathematics teacher V. Srinivas said regular study is essential to overcome the fear of the subject. He asked students who found the subject difficult to focus on important sections like Real Numbers, Coordinate Geometry, Statistics, Probability and Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables. Focusing on these areas can help you score 30 to 40 points. The graph question alone carries eight points. In statistics, writing the formula clearly and explaining the terms can bring additional points.
Biology teacher Dr. M. Radhika said that this year’s exam will follow a model based on Bloom’s Taxonomy, covering knowledge, understanding and application. Since diagrams carry significant weight, he advised students to practice drawing and labeling diagrams properly. At least four basic experiments should be thoroughly examined. Students should focus on courses such as life processes, reproduction, control and coordination, and Mendel’s principles. Answers explaining the differences and their reasons should be written in full stop.
Physics teacher S. Prabhakar advised the students to study the important sections marked in the textbook and practice previous years’ question papers. Diagrams should be drawn neatly with correct labeling. To maintain concentration, he recommended dedicating at least one and a half hours a day to physics and taking short breaks after every 30 minutes of work.
Social Studies teacher T. Revanth said that the map marking app can help students take notes easily. Students should follow the plan to understand the weightage of each lesson. At least two relevant points should be written for each sign. A clear understanding of course summaries will help answer even indirectly framed questions. He advised students to read the question paper carefully before answering.
